Injective CEO Suggests 2027 ETF Launch but Hints at Earlier Timing
Injective (INJ), another altcoin, is now in the spotlight as the US market sees growing interest in ETF products beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Eric Chen, co-founder and CEO of Injective, hinted that a spot INJ ETF in the US might launch by 2027, though he suggested the timeline could be shorter. Speaking to The Block, Chen avoided specifying an exact date but noted that 2027 seems too distant, indicating the process might accelerate. He also mentioned two pending ETF applications with the US SEC: the 21Shares Injective ETF and the Canary Staked INJ ETF, which includes staking features.
Injective is also expanding its corporate footprint in the US, with Injective Institutional Services becoming a SEC-registered transfer agent in August. Chen emphasized that this is just the beginning, as they aim to secure more licenses. Additionally, Injective has completed the MiCA technical document process for INJ, placing it on the provisional register of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Chen noted that while obtaining a license in the EU is slow, Injective is collaborating with firms already licensed in the region.
