Injective ($INJ) co-founder and CEO Eric Chen has provided an update on the status of spot $INJ ETFs in the US. Chen stated that while the launch of spot $INJ ETFs in the US may not happen until 2027, he believes this date is too far away and that the ETF launch could occur sooner.

Chen currently has two pending applications with the US SEC: the 21Shares Injective ETF and the Canary Staked $INJ ETF, which includes staking features. The 21Shares ETF application was filed in September 2026, and the fund aims to track the price performance of $INJ, with plans to be listed on Nasdaq.

Chen's announcement comes as Injective expands its corporate reach in the U.S. The company has obtained a SEC-registered transfer agent status through Injective Institutional Services, and Chen noted that this is just the beginning, with plans to obtain more licenses in the coming period.
