Injective's First Meme Coin Treasury Goes Live with 2x Leverage
RunUp's RUNNER token has taken an unconventional approach to its treasury, choosing to trade instead of sitting idle. The first perpetual treasury on the Injective blockchain is now live, with an initial $9,086 position in INJ at 2x leverage. The treasury's profits will be used to buy back and burn RUNNER tokens, reducing the total supply.
The setup is straightforward: the treasury holds a fixed 2x long position in INJ, which means it gains or loses roughly twice what INJ moves. If INJ rises, the position profits faster than simply holding it would. If INJ falls, losses arrive faster too.
The trades run through Injective's Request for Quote system, where market makers respond to a trader's request with quotes, rather than the order hitting a public order book directly. The treasury's profits are then used to purchase RUNNER on the open market and permanently destroy those tokens.
RunUp launched on October 1, 2026, with a total supply capped at 1 billion tokens. The project's allocation breaks down as follows: 27.5% to whitelist participants, 41.5% to the public bonding curve, 26% to the liquidity pool, and 5% to an airdrop. The treasury itself gets funded at a specific milestone, when RUNNER hits its target breakout point of around $81K fully diluted valuation.
