Injective's Price Surges Toward $8 as CypherOS Native Privacy Layer Confirmed
Injective's (INJ) price surged toward $8 after the protocol confirmed that its native on-chain privacy layer, CypherOS, is coming soon. This move follows the successful Meridian mainnet upgrade, which went live on September 24, 2026.
The Meridian upgrade introduced regulated token standards, compliance-ready transfer rules, and MultiVM unified perp markets, among other features. It also laid the groundwork for CypherOS by integrating risk engines and Volan upgrades that would shield transactions.
CypherOS is designed to cover three areas: shielded transactions, confidential trading, and private RFQ (request-for-quote) execution flows. The protocol has been building toward this through its Volan upgrade and RWA integration, which laid the tokenization rails that CypherOS would now shield.
