Institutional Adoption Rises as BitMine Reveals Staggering Ethereum Holdings
BitMine's recent disclosure of its Ethereum holdings has left many in the crypto community stunned. The company revealed that it holds approximately 4.9% of the total ETH supply, a staggering figure that highlights the growing institutional adoption of Ethereum.
The reported holdings reached 5,983,940 ETH as of September 20, valued at around $2,688 per ETH. This significant concentration of capital raises the bar for any potential price movements and serves as a reminder of the substantial influence institutions can have on the market.
However, BitMine's dominance is not the only story emerging from the Ethereum scene. Remittix, another project aiming to revolutionize crypto-to-bank payments, is gearing up for its November launch. The company has raised over $32 million and boasts a user base of more than 40,000 participants.
Remittix's ambitious product strategy includes an iOS wallet, live trading on Remittix Markets, and a forthcoming Earn feature offering up to 22% APY on eligible holdings. By targeting the enormous international remittance market and providing a customer-facing experience, Remittix is attempting to package crypto into a practical service that could attract a broader audience.
