Institutional Bitcoin Allocation Recommendations Diverge Amid Price Decline
Ric Edelman, founder of Edelman Financial Engines, has urged investors to consider putting as much as 40% of their portfolios into Bitcoin. However, other prominent financial institutions such as BlackRock and JPMorgan recommend a more conservative approach.
According to the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, which sits at 26 in 'Fear' territory, Bitcoin's price has been steadily declining since its October all-time high of $126,198. As of mid-March, it hovers between $71,000 and $74,000.
The institutional adoption of Bitcoin continues to grow, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracting $56 billion in cumulative net inflows since their January 2024 launch. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust alone holds approximately 1.29 million BTC.
