Institutional Buying Powers Crypto Rebound as Bitcoin Nears $90,000
Bitcoin's price has rebounded to near $87,000 as institutional buying continues to drive the market. This surge in demand comes on the heels of a strong recovery that began with an 25% gain in August and has since accelerated, pushing Bitcoin up by around 8.8% so far this month.
The latest push higher has been fueled by significant inflows into US-listed Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). On September 21, these ETFs attracted approximately $999 million of net inflows, their strongest single trading day since October 2025. Over three sessions, the total inflow reached around $1.59 billion.
This influx of institutional money has not only driven up Bitcoin's price but also pushed the overall cryptocurrency market capitalization back above $3 trillion for the first time since January.
