Institutional Buying Propels Bitcoin Above $80k, FOMO Sentiment Rises
Bitcoin has rebounded to $84,200 after a sharp surge of over $10,000 in just seven days. The price increase is driven by sustained accumulation by institutional investors, with on-chain transfer volume reaching as high as $2.7 billion over the past 24 hours.
According to Woofun AI's data, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US regulatory market recorded net inflows of $1.6 billion within three days. Analyst Ali Martinez noted that institutions have not yet taken profits and technical support remains strong.
However, there are concerns about overheated retail investor sentiment, with the FOMO index climbing to its highest level since 2024. An analyst warns that chasing higher at current levels carries substantial risk, and should a wave of profit-taking materialize, prices could retreat toward $80,000.
