Institutional Crypto Wave Lifts Wall Street Stocks
Wall Street's crypto environment has seen significant improvements over the past few months, although it remains sensitive to interest rates, Treasury yields, and regulatory developments.
The growing importance of institutional capital is a key shift, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) increasingly traded through regulated exchange-traded products rather than traditional crypto exchanges.
Crypto ETF flows have emerged as a clear indicator of institutional sentiment. Between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $1.6 billion, their strongest weekly inflow pace this year at that point.
The momentum continued into early September, with Bitcoin ETFs recording $986.9 million in inflows during the week ended Sept. 4. However, demand for Ethereum and other altcoin ETFs cooled slightly.
