Institutional Demand Keeps Bitcoin Above $78K Amid Broader Market Pressure
Bitcoin has been stable above $78,400 during Asian trading hours on Tuesday, despite broader risk assets coming under pressure. BTC traded in a narrow range between roughly $77,200 and $79,200, with buyers defending the $78,000 area after its strong rally through August.
The return of institutional buying is supporting the market, with Strategy stepping back into the market last week with a $370 million Bitcoin purchase. Corporate demand remains active even with Bitcoin trading below its recent highs, with Strive purchasing 1,800 BTC for around $143 million and Strategy buying 4,603 BTC for approximately $370 million.
Bitcoin ETF flows are also giving bulls some support, with US spot Bitcoin ETFs recording around $216.7 million in net inflows on Monday after a nine-session streak of outflows that brought more than $3 billion into the funds.
