Japanese Company Ditches Altcoins for All-Bitcoin Crypto Treasury
Remixpoint, a Japanese company, has made a significant move in its cryptocurrency holdings. After selling off its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin assets on September 1, the company is now left with only Bitcoin in its digital-asset treasury. The sale generated approximately $5.5 million for Remixpoint, with Ethereum producing the largest realized gain of about $377,000.
The company's decision to concentrate its remaining crypto exposure in Bitcoin is a notable shift, especially considering it has been increasing its BTC position even as it moved to eliminate exposure to other major cryptocurrencies. Remixpoint has added around 90 BTC to its holdings this year and now holds approximately 1,506.23 BTC, valued at roughly $121 million at current prices.
The company did not specify how the proceeds from the sale would be used, stating only that it was available for several corporate priorities, including expansion into grid-scale battery storage and strengthening its balance sheet. Remixpoint's pivot reflects a broader reassessment among corporate crypto treasuries navigating weaker markets and increasing pressure to justify how digital assets fit into their balance sheets.
