Japanese Firm's Crypto Holdings Turn Profitable
Remixpoint Inc., a Japan-listed energy and cryptocurrency investment firm, has reported that its entire crypto portfolio has turned profitable. The company's total unrealized gains have reached 2.631 billion yen ($15.4 million) as of August 24, up from a loss of 1.945 billion yen at the end of June.
The significant swing in market value comes after two months of broad cryptocurrency market growth, during which Bitcoin and several altcoins posted strong gains. Remixpoint's crypto portfolio consists of five major digital assets: $BTC (Bitcoin), $ETH (Ethereum), $SOL (Solana), $XRP (Ripple), and $DOGE (Dogecoin).
The company did not disclose the cost basis for each asset, but the aggregate swing in market value indicates a significant appreciation over the past two months. This trend reflects not only the volatility of crypto markets but also the potential benefits that corporate balance sheets can derive from digital asset exposure.
