Japanese Fortune Teller Arrested for Stealing $450,000 in Cryptocurrency

A Japanese fortune teller has been accused of stealing over $450,000 in cryptocurrency from a woman who sought his help in accessing her crypto wallet. Daisuke Ise was arrested on Wednesday for computer fraud by local authorities.

According to police, the victim had enlisted Ise's assistance in remembering her password to her crypto account. However, it appears that Ise may have taken advantage of her trust, as he 'was able to piece together her access information based on hints he extracted from her during their conversations.'

The authorities claim that Ise then used this information to transfer around $459,000 in cryptocurrency from the woman's account into his own.
