Japan's Largest Ethereum Treasury Sells More ETH for AI Expansion
Japan's largest Ethereum treasury company, Quantum Solutions, has made another sale of its ETH holdings to fund AI infrastructure. The latest transaction saw 1,000 Ethereum sold at an average price of $1,903 per coin, resulting in a loss of around $100,000 for the company. This move is part of Quantum's plan to convert its Ethereum treasury into high-performance AI computing hardware.
The sale was completed through the company's Hong Kong subsidiary, GPT Pals Studio, on July 30. The proceeds from this transaction will be used to purchase Nvidia B300 and GB300 GPU systems, which will power a new AI data center in Japan. This project is a result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Integrated Capital in June.
Quantum Solutions was once the largest publicly listed Ethereum treasury company in Japan, holding over 6,668.8 ETH by early June this year. However, since mid-June, the company has sold nearly 29% of its previous holdings, which were acquired during late 2025 when Ethereum traded above $4,000.
