JPMorgan's Tokenization Push Sparks Shift to Blockchain-Based Infrastructure
JPMorgan Chase is closing in on a historic milestone, nearing a market capitalization of $1 trillion. The banking giant has already reached $970 billion, and its tokenization efforts are making waves in the financial industry.
The XRP Ledger played a key role in one of these transactions, demonstrating its ability to support rapid settlement beyond conventional banking hours. In May, Ondo Finance, Kinexys, Mastercard, and Ripple completed a cross-border redemption of Ondo's tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, OUSG.
This transaction highlights the potential for markets that operate around the clock and underscores XRPL's role in institutional financial infrastructure. JPMorgan is also expanding its tokenization efforts beyond XRPL, participating in real production trades with tokenized securities.
