JPYC Resumes Ethereum Issuance After Brief Outage Amid South Korea Trading Debut
JPYC, the issuer of Japan's first licensed yen stablecoin, has resolved an issue that temporarily suspended the issuance-reservation function on Ethereum.
The problem occurred on the same day JPYC made its South Korean trading debut on Upbit. Although the listing represented a significant milestone for the token as it became available on a major Korean exchange, it was marked by a disruption in the minting process.
JPYC had flagged that issuance reservations on Ethereum were suspended while investigating the cause, later posting matching notices for Polygon. The update at the time of writing is that only the Ethereum network's reservation function is working again.
