JPYC, a Japanese company that develops regulated stablecoins denominated in yen, has raised $38 million in an extended Series B round.

The funding will enable JPYC to expand its network of regulated digital payment solutions throughout Japan and pursue new product initiatives.

AZ-COM Maruwa led the investment round, with existing investors Metaplanet Ventures also participating. The company plans to use the funds to enhance its compliance expertise and further scale its payment infrastructure in both consumer and B2B markets.

The growing demand for blockchain-powered payment systems in Japan has contributed to JPYC's success. Enterprise adoption of regulated stablecoins is accelerating as businesses automate commercial payments, improve settlement speed, and streamline logistics operations through blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
