Judge Blocks Arbitration Bid in Justin Sun's Crypto Dispute with World Liberty Financial

Share

A federal judge in California has denied World Liberty Financial's request to move cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun's individual claims against them into arbitration.

The dispute centers on Sun's $45 million investment in WLFI, a crypto venture associated with the Trump family.

World Liberty Financial had asked the court to compel arbitration and pause the lawsuit, but Judge James Donato ruled that Sun's individual claims will remain in federal court.

The ruling does not determine whether World Liberty Financial improperly restricted Sun's tokens or owes him damages, which are still disputed.
