Jumper Launches Token Sale as it Aims to Become Super-App for Onchain Finance
Jumper, a leading consumer application for moving and trading assets onchain, has announced plans to become an independent company. With over $40 billion in lifetime volume and more than 100,000 monthly active users, Jumper is poised to expand its ambition and become the super-app for onchain finance.
As part of this growth strategy, Jumper will launch a JUMP token sale through Legion, allowing users, contributors, and investors to participate directly in the value being created by the company. The fundraising structure reflects a fundamental choice about how Jumper intends to align ownership and value creation, with the JUMP token serving as the only way for stakeholders to have ownership and exposure.
Marko Jurina, CEO of Jumper, emphasized that the company wants to be at the forefront of shifting the industry standard towards token-first ownership. 'We think that model needs to change,' he said. 'If crypto is serious about creating new forms of ownership, the people who use, support, and build these businesses should be able to participate directly in the value they help create.'
