Jupiter Ultra Users Escape Sandwich Attacks with Ease
A recent three-year study on protected order flow attacks across major blockchains has found that users of Jupiter Ultra face fewer sandwich attacks than those using other platforms. The research, titled 'No Place to Hide: An Analysis on Protected Order Flow Sandwich Attacks,' analyzed activity across Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Base, Arbitrum, and Monad.
Solana's architecture makes it particularly vulnerable to sandwich attacks, which occur when a bot spots a pending swap and places a buy order right before the user's trade executes at an inflated price. The attacker then sells immediately after the trade is executed, pocketing the difference.
The study found that Jupiter Ultra users were actually sandwiched less than statistically expected, with an excess ratio of 0.7 overall. In single-victim scenarios, this ratio climbed to 2.0, still well below competitors like Axiom (18.9) and Photon (11.1).
The gap is attributed to Jupiter Ultra's V3 release in October 2025, which introduced several protective features, including private routing and dynamic slippage estimation.
