Jupiter's Ultra Service Beats Rivals in Sandwich Attack Study
A new study has found that Jupiter's Ultra trading service on the Solana blockchain has been less vulnerable to sandwich attacks, which are a type of bot-driven price manipulation.
The study looked at three years' worth of data and found that users of other platforms were much more likely to be targeted by these attacks. In contrast, Jupiter Ultra users saw fewer than expected instances of sandwich attacks, with an overall score of 0.7 compared to competitors like Axiom (18.9), Photon (11.1), BullX (10.3), and GMGM (10.2).
The researchers pointed out that the way a trading application handles orders can significantly affect the risk of sandwich attacks, with Jupiter's system attempting to front-run trades and auto-manage volatility.
Jupiter's price has recently experienced a sharp rally, rising from $0.22 to nearly $0.37 before falling by over 9% to around $0.337 at the time of writing. The study's findings did not appear to have an immediate impact on the token's value, but experts warn that a potential drop below $0.30 could be a concern.
