Justin Sun Scores Court Win Against World Liberty Financial Over Frozen Tokens

Share

Crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun has scored a court win against World Liberty Financial in California federal court. The judge ruled that Sun's individual claims will remain in open court, rejecting World Liberty's push for arbitration and sealed proceedings.

The dispute dates back to April when Sun alleged that World Liberty froze his WLFI tokens, removed his governance rights, and threatened to burn the tokens. He is seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.

Sun also accused World Liberty of building a freeze-and-burn capability into its USD1 stablecoin and warned USD1 holders that the company has already shown a willingness to use those functions.
