Justin Sun Sues Actress Jing Tian Over Alleged Betrothal Payment
Justin Sun, the Chinese cryptocurrency billionaire with an estimated net worth of $8.5 billion, has filed a lawsuit against actress Jing Tian and her parents seeking the return of over RMB 30 million (approximately $4.2 million) in alleged betrothal money.
The payment was reportedly made after the couple began dating and discussed marriage, but they ended their relationship during the first half of 2026.
Jing Tian has denied the allegations and stated that she will let the legal process determine the outcome. The lawsuit has been accepted by the court but has not yet proceeded to trial.
Sun's reputation for making extravagant purchases has contributed to his unusual public image, with high-profile events including a charity auction lunch with Warren Buffett in 2019 and spending $28 million on a seat on Blue Origin's New Shepard spacecraft in 2021.
