Crypto billionaire Justin Sun is seeking to reclaim millions of dollars from his ex-girlfriend Jing Tian, claiming he paid her family a $4.5 million 'bride fee' in anticipation of their marriage.

Sun, founder of the blockchain business Tron and worth around $8.5 billion, reportedly made the payment to Tian's parents after becoming engaged.

However, the couple's relationship ended abruptly when Tian requested that Sun transfer her $50 million to register a property in Hong Kong, which she claimed was necessary for her to have a child with him via surrogacy.

Sun consulted an AI chatbot on whether he should send the money, but ultimately decided not to after receiving advice against it.
