Kalshi Bolsters Surveillance with Nasdaq Partnership

Kalshi, a prediction markets operator, has partnered with Nasdaq to strengthen its surveillance program. This collaboration will bring enterprise-level surveillance technology to Kalshi's exchange infrastructure.

The partnership follows recent enforcement actions related to suspicious trading activity on the platform. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) imposed a $35,000 penalty on former GOP Congressman George Santos for allegedly engaging in manipulative activities on Kalshi.

Nasdaq's surveillance technology will monitor prediction markets and emerging perpetual derivative products in real-time, detecting suspicious activities such as market manipulation and insider trading. This technology is similar to that deployed at major global exchanges, including those of Nasdaq itself.
