Kalshi Seeks CFTC Approval for Gold and Silver Perpetual Futures
Kalshi has submitted plans to the CFTC for gold and silver perpetual futures. This move extends its derivatives lineup beyond cryptocurrency, giving eligible US traders continuous access to precious metals exposure.
The exchange filed GOLDPERP and SILVERPERP with the CFTC on September 9 under Regulation 40.2(a). The proposed contracts track the U.S. dollar spot prices of gold and silver, with Pyth Network providing pricing data.
Unlike dated futures, these perpetual contracts have no fixed expiration date. Instead, regular funding payments keep contract prices aligned with their underlying markets.
