Kalshi Terminates Volume Incentive Program Amid Stricter Oversight
Kalshi, a CFTC-regulated exchange, is ending its Volume Incentive Program effective October 13, 2026. This decision may be influenced by the stricter oversight Kalshi operates under compared to other crypto-native prediction platforms.
The program rewarded traders with fixed per-market pools allocated proportionally based on their share of eligible volume on Kalshi's central limit order book. To qualify for rewards, trades had to be executed at prices between $0.03 and $0.97, excluding the cheapest lottery-ticket bets and near-certainties.
The maximum reward was capped at $0.005 per contract. Certain groups, including affiliates of Kalshi and participants operating under specific agreements with brokers and market makers, were excluded from eligibility entirely.
