Kalshi Unveils Real-Time Market Data Feed Through DoubleZero Partnership
Kalshi, a prediction market platform, has partnered with DoubleZero to distribute its real-time order book data through DoubleZero Edge. This move aims to provide trading firms with institutional-grade infrastructure for accessing Kalshi's live data over DoubleZero's fiber network.
The initial feed covers sports contracts and crypto perpetual futures, including Level 1 data that shows the best available prices and completed trades, as well as Level 2 data that displays buy and sell orders across multiple price levels.
Kalshi will waive its share of subscription fees for the first year, allowing firms to access the feed without incurring additional costs. DoubleZero Edge uses a multicast system that sends machine-readable data to connected traders simultaneously, providing formatted data that can be used for pricing, hedging, and automated trading.
Austin Federa, CEO of DoubleZero, stated that this integration gives prediction-market traders access to the type of data infrastructure long used in traditional finance. He also emphasized that broader access to faster data would increase competition and improve prices.
