Kazakhstan Cracks Down on Crypto with New Analytics Center
Kazakhstan's National Bank is taking steps to strengthen oversight of its rapidly expanding crypto market. The bank will establish a National Cryptocurrency Analytics Center on its SupTech platform, which will monitor fiat and crypto flows, wallets, and transfers.
The new center will be connected to the Anti-Fraud Center, giving banks, law enforcement agencies, and licensed digital-asset providers access to verification tools. This move is part of Kazakhstan's effort to formalize oversight of digital assets and follows $10.6 billion in digital-asset transactions, as well as memorandums with Binance and a central-bank-backed crypto reserve.
