Dunamu, operator of South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, has signed an MOU with Kazakhstan's Alatau City Administration (ACA) and Alatau City Bank to develop digital financial infrastructure.

The agreement was reached on September 16 at the Korea-Kazakhstan Business Roundtable in Seoul, during Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's official visit to South Korea.

A key area of focus is the review of real-world asset tokenization and security token offerings. Dunamu will provide tokenization solutions and technical expertise, while ACA will support regulatory analysis and coordinate cooperation among local authorities.

Alatau City Bank plans to examine how digital assets can work with traditional finance systems under applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
