Kazakhstan Unveils Ambitious Digital-Asset Development Plan
Kazakhstan's government has approved a comprehensive plan to develop its digital-asset industry. The 65-measure joint action plan covers ten policy areas, including regulation, infrastructure, cryptocurrency mining, taxation, and blockchain adoption.
The roadmap was developed after discussions between government agencies and industry participants. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized the importance of timely implementation and personal responsibility for achieving specific results.
One of the key initiatives is the development of a mechanism using associated petroleum gas for mining. This involves autonomous power plants at oil fields generating electricity, as explained by Vice Minister Gizzat Baitursynov.
