Kendrick's Crypto Top Picks: Four Altcoins to Ride DeFi Wave

Standard Chartered's head of digital assets research, Geoffrey Kendrick, has identified four altcoins that he believes will capture a large share of the money moving into decentralized finance (DeFi). The tokens are Uniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), Morpho (MORPHO), and Arbitrum (ARB).

Kendrick expects these coins to benefit from increased adoption in traditional finance, which is transitioning online. He notes that Uniswap's fee switch, implemented last December, has led to a significant increase in token burning.

The researcher predicts that Uniswap will reach $100 by 2030, but admits that this target may be too low. Aave, on the other hand, is expected to hit $3,500 by 2030, despite being affected by a $300 million hack linked to Kelp in April.

Morpho and Arbitrum are also seen as strong contenders, with Kendrick predicting that Morpho will reach $60 by 2030. He believes that Arbitrum's revenue from Robinhood Chain will increase significantly if more firms follow the same model.
