Kendrick's Top Altcoin Picks: Uniswap, Aave, Morpho, and Arbitrum to Rule Blockchain
Standard Chartered's head of digital assets research, Geoffrey Kendrick, says traditional finance is increasingly moving to blockchain-based systems. As this trend continues, he expects four altcoins to capture a significant share of the money that follows: Uniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), Morpho (MORPHO), and Arbitrum (ARB).
Kendrick believes Uniswap has a strong moat due to its high trading fees, which are used to buy back and burn tokens. He thinks this will lead to significant price growth, potentially exceeding his 2030 target of $100, which he now considers too low.
Aave, on the other hand, has demonstrated resilience in the face of a recent hack, raising about $300 million from its community to recover losses and tightening risk settings. Kendrick views Aave as a leader in 'on-chain banking' and expects it to be a top performer, potentially reaching $3,500 by 2030.
Morpho, he notes, has a different business model than Aave, focusing on asset management rather than traditional banking. Its vault product is geared towards institutional investors, which may reduce its volatility but limit liquidity. Kendrick sees Morpho as a potential winner in the medium term, with a target price of $60.
Kendrick's most bullish call is for Arbitrum, which he believes will benefit significantly from Robinhood Chain's revenue model. With 10% of net revenue going to Arbitrum due to its supplied technology, Kendrick estimates this could reach $40 million to $50 million a month within two years, driving the price up to $10 by 2030.
