Klippsten Slashes Bitcoin's 2026 All-Time High Odds to 20-25%
Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten has revised his estimate for Bitcoin (BTC) reaching a new all-time high in 2026 to between 20% and 25%. This decrease in odds is attributed to the cryptocurrency's recent decline from $95,000 to $60,000, and its current price of $73,630, according to CoinMarketCap.
Klippsten, who had previously put the probability at around 50%, emphasized that institutional activity has not replaced retail demand as the main driver of Bitcoin's value. He noted that a significant portion of Bitcoin's supply is still driven by retail accounts, and that exchange-traded fund (ETF) purchases draw from real BTC supply.
Klippsten's comments come as the Crypto Fear & Greed Index posted an Extreme Fear reading of 23, indicating that investors are taking a cautious stance towards the broader crypto market. The index's reading is a reflection of the recent decline in the price of BTC, which has dropped approximately 9.5% over the past few weeks.
