KOMPETE v0.93 Expands Sunrise Greens to 18 Holes with Major Updates

KOMPETE has released its v0.93 update, expanding the Sunrise Greens golf course from nine to 18 holes, now featuring a par 72 layout. The new back nine introduces a lake, bunkers, and ridges, along with fresh commentary and visual enhancements like waving flags and hole signs. The update also splits club sets into separate Driver, Irons, and Putter items, allowing players to mix and match different sets in their locker. Additionally, golf gloves and 22 new golf effects have been added, all soon to be available in the in-game store.

The update brings significant changes to gameplay, including capped drive distances and lengthened holes. Other additions include a Boardwalk map for Coin Pusher, featuring a pier arcade setting, and adjustments to Blitz Royale, such as a faster-closing safe zone and persistent loot from eliminated players. The patch also includes numerous fixes, particularly for mobile players, addressing issues like freezing, hidden landing circles, and grayed-out characters.

KOMPETE, developed by Modernize Games using Unreal Engine 5, is free to play and offers multiple game modes across PC and mobile platforms. The v0.93 update, released on October 4, follows closely behind the v0.92 update from September 28. The developers note that this is an Early Access build, acknowledging that some issues may persist due to rapid development.
