POSCO International and LG CNS have embarked on a significant experiment in tokenization by testing the digitization of live commercial invoices on the Injective network. This move marks one of the most concrete examples of a large industrial corporation using a public blockchain to represent trade finance instruments directly.

The pilot is part of a growing trend in real-world asset tokenization, with estimated volumes exceeding $20 billion on-chain. Tokenizing trade receivables could unlock new financing channels, speed up settlement, and enable the use of invoices as collateral or traded in secondary markets.

POSCO International's trading arm handles raw materials to finished goods, while LG CNS provides digital infrastructure. Their decision to test on Injective highlights a willingness to explore open networks, which offers fast block times, low fees, and inter-blockchain communication via Cosmos IBC.
