Kraken Brings Regulated US Stocks Trading to European Users
Kraken, a multi-asset investment platform, has expanded its services in Europe by allowing users to trade over 7,000 US stocks and more than 700 xStocks. This move comes after Kraken obtained its MiFID II license, enabling the company to provide regulated access to both traditional and tokenized assets within the same framework.
The introduction of this service eliminates the distinction between traditional and tokenized formats of the same asset, allowing users to choose how they want to access their exposure. Mark Greenberg, commercial director of Payward and head of Payward Services, stated that clients can now access the same asset through either traditional stocks or their tokenized representation without moving capital or changing platforms.
Kraken plans to extend this range of tradable assets to other markets in the coming months as part of its goal to establish itself as a global and multi-asset platform for investment. The service is available on both desktop and mobile versions of Kraken Pro, as well as within the company's app.
