Kraken Integrates Coinbase Deposits via Mesh
Kraken has introduced a new feature that allows users to transfer funds from another exchange without manually entering a wallet address. The feature, which is now available for Coinbase connections on the Kraken website, uses Mesh's crypto payments network to link exchanges and platforms.
The process begins on the deposit screen, where customers choose the cryptocurrency and network before selecting the external exchange route. If the connected exchange requires it, the login opens in that platform's own authentication window before returning the user to complete the transfer.
Mesh provides a single connection layer that lets Kraken customers initiate transfers from supported third-party exchanges within Kraken's deposit flow. The feature also includes Mesh's SmartFunding tool, which can draw on other balances held at the sending exchange if the user does not have enough of the selected token to complete the transfer.
Kraken says its clients trade more than 200 digital assets and eight national currencies, including GBP, EUR, and USD. The exchange serves more than 9 million traders and institutions worldwide.
