Kraken Liquidates UAE Customer Balances for Seven Cryptocurrencies

Starting Monday, September 14th at 14:00 UTC, Kraken will close withdrawals for seven cryptocurrencies held by its United Arab Emirates customers. The remaining balances on these assets will then be subject to liquidation by the exchange between September 15 and 25, 2026.

The affected assets are Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), Dash (DASH), USDD, Dai (DAI), USDS, and Ethena USD (USDE). The restriction applies only to clients residing in the UAE. Withdrawals for these assets will still be available until 13:59 UTC on September 14.

Kraken's notices do not guarantee the denomination of liquidation proceeds or confirm it in advance. This means customers who leave affected holdings on the exchange may not know what currency they will receive after liquidation, as prevailing market conditions will determine this.
