Kraken Parent Company Seeks Regulatory Approval for On-Chain Perpetual Futures in US
Kraken's parent company Payward is planning to bring on-chain perpetual futures to US traders through a regulated market structure built around Hyperliquid's public blockchain.
The plan, which requires regulatory sign-off, would mark one of the first attempts to fold a popular offshore derivatives product into a U.S.-compliant framework.
Pending approval, Payward would list perpetual futures contracts under Bitnomial Exchange, a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
US clients would need to open futures accounts with NinjaTrader Clearing and receive approval from both NinjaTrader Clearing and Bitnomial before trading.
