Kraken Restricts Accounts Amid Sanctions Concerns Over HTX-Linked Transfers

Kraken temporarily restricted some customer accounts after nearly 12,000 small crypto transfers arrived from a wallet linked to HTX.

The transactions occurred between August 17 and August 24. According to Kraken, the activity may be an attempt to distribute UK- and EU-sanctioned funds across other platforms.

Kraken described this as a possible 'dust attack' involving sanctioned funds. HTX denied sending the transfers, stating they are investigating their source.
