Kraken Tests Compliant HIP-3 Market on Hyperliquid Testnet

Kraken may be testing a compliant Hyperliquid Improvement Proposal (HIP-3) decentralized exchange (DEX) on its Hyperliquid testnet.

A deployer using Kraken's name has whitelisted 10 wallets and tested three compliance controls, which could indicate that the centralized exchange is experimenting with a permissioned HIP-3 market.

The deployment used Star gating, a permission system, to add users to its approved list, and it also tested forced position reductions and collateral transfers.

Kraken has not confirmed whether it owns or operates the testnet deployment, but the use of its name and the timing of the test may suggest that the exchange is involved.
