Kraken Unleashes Commission-Free US Stock Trading for EEA Users

Kraken, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its services to include US stock trading for users in the European Economic Area (EEA). This new offering allows EEA clients to access both traditional US-traded stocks and their tokenized versions, known as xStocks, within a single regulated account.

The service operates commission-free through Kraken's apps and is provided by its Cyprus-based subsidiary Payward under a MiFID II license. This launch makes Kraken the only cryptocurrency platform offering EEA clients access to both traditional US-traded stocks and their tokenized versions within a single regulated account.
