A7, a network linked to the Kremlin, has used both traditional banking and cryptocurrency methods to evade sanctions, according to leaked documents.

The Financial Times reported that A7 funneled over $6.9 billion through shell companies and forged shipping documents with the help of international banks.

A7 also used both Tether's USDT and its own ruble-pegged token, A7A5, to move funds around the world.

The UK government has imposed restrictions on A7, calling it a 'Kremlin-backed' system that helps Russia avoid Western sanctions and fund military acquisitions.
