KuCoin Lists TermMax (TMX) in World Premiere
KuCoin has listed TermMax (TMX), a decentralized fixed-rate and fixed-term borrowing and lending protocol, in a world premiere. Trading on the TMX/USDT pair began at 10:00 UTC on August 25, 2026.
TermMax allows users to lock in known interest rates and maturity dates upfront through tokenized bond positions and a customizable automated market maker (AMM). This design addresses rate volatility, which is a core DeFi pain point. Traditional variable-rate platforms expose users to sudden cost spikes or yield drops.
The protocol uses Fixed-Rate Tokens (FT) like zero-coupon bonds, X Tokens (XT) representing interest components, and Gearing Tokens (GT) encapsulating leveraged borrow positions with collateral and debt. Users can trade these on the AMM for efficient entry and exit.
