KuCoin Streamlines Institutional Lending with Unified Trading Account Integration
KuCoin has enhanced its Institutional Interest-Free Lending Program by integrating it with the Unified Trading Account (UTA), allowing eligible institutional clients to use borrowed assets across multiple trading products through a single account structure.
The updated program reduces the entry requirements for newly registered API clients, who now need only 10 million USDT in external 30-day trading volume to qualify, down from the previous threshold of 30 million USDT. The program also offers 0% interest for the first two months without a volume requirement.
Eligible clients can borrow up to 3 million USDT in USDT, USDC, BTC, and ETH, which can be used across Spot, Margin, and Futures trading products without requiring transfers between separate accounts. This integration aims to address capital fragmentation for institutional traders operating across different products and strategies.
KuCoin first introduced targeted interest-free credit for institutional users in 2024, offering eligible API traders and quantitative teams borrowing of up to 500,000 USDT alongside fee benefits, higher API limits, enhanced connectivity, and technical support. The exchange increased the borrowing limit to 3 million USDT in 2025 and added support for multiple borrowing assets.
“Professional market participants need timely, flexible, and capital-efficient access to liquidity,” said Alison Qin, Head of KuCoin Institutional & VIP. “Effective institutional lending infrastructure must combine financing at scale, tailored terms, and competitive pricing so clients can execute sophisticated strategies with confidence.”
