Kyiv Call Center Exposed for $1 Million Cryptocurrency Scam Against Czechs
A fraudulent call center in Kyiv has been exposed for defrauding Czech citizens of over UAH 8.4 million by convincing them to invest in cryptocurrency.
The scammers operated for three years, creating a special web resource and convincing victims to invest money with promises of large profits from stock trading.
Law enforcement officers found at least nine Czech victims and discovered that the call center was coordinated by a 33-year-old man from Kyiv.
Czech and Ukrainian law enforcement conducted a joint investigation, resulting in preventive measures being given to the suspects.
