Kyrgyzstan's Crypto Market Surges Past $31 Billion
The cryptocurrency market in Kyrgyzstan has experienced significant growth over the past year. According to the National Agency for Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies, the total turnover of the virtual asset market reached approximately $31 billion by the end of 2025.
This represents an almost threefold increase compared to 2024, with around 2.73 trillion soms passing through licensed virtual asset services, resulting in over 2.1 million transactions throughout the year.
The growth of the market has been fueled by efforts to develop the country's infrastructure for digital assets. In 2025, the Ministry of Finance announced the registration of a state stablecoin, USDKG, which is pegged to the US dollar and backed by physical gold.
