LAPTOP Coin Debuts with TRUMP Holders in Line for Free Tokens
Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, is launching a meme coin called 'LAPTOP' on September 9, 2026. The name refers to his infamous Laptop saga in 2020, which has since become a recognizable branding element.
LAPTOP will debut with one billion tokens on Coinbase's layer-2 network, Base. Thirty percent of the tokens will be allocated to Hunter and his co-founders, vesting over two years. The remaining 70% will be distributed through an airdrop to holders of the TRUMP meme coin and Biden's Substack subscribers.
Notably, 20% of the LAPTOP token supply will go to TRUMP investors, despite the latter having plummeted by over 97% from its January 2025 all-time high. This has sparked concerns about rug pull accusations against Trump's $1.4 billion declared crypto venture profits.
Biden's plan also includes a conditional 30% token burn if Democrats win the 2028 presidency and Bitcoin reaches $126,080.
