Maestro, a popular launch bot, disabled its Auto Snipe feature for the $LAPTOP meme coin hours before its September 9 launch. This move effectively closed off one of the main public entry paths for retail investors.

A market analyst at Fundex, known as MidCurveMortal, warned that private execution tools would outrank public sniping, making it financially untenable for retail traders to participate in the $LAPTOP launch. The analyst's warning echoed the project's own language, which described the token as a memecoin 'created for entertainment and community participation purposes.'

Hunter Biden, the creator of $LAPTOP, posted on X that 20% of the supply would go to community airdrops, including wallets that lost money on $TRUMP. He also stated that 30% was tied to public outcomes that would either burn tokens or send them to charity.

The Maestro disablement does not change tokenomics, with 35% of the supply unlocked at token generation and 30% allocated to founders. The large liquid float on day one, combined with copycat tickers on other chains, sets up a volatile trading environment with sharp two-way swings.
